About Plugin-U

Plugin-U is an audio plugin marketplace built for students, producers, engineers, musicians, and creators who want professional audio tools at better prices.

We started Plugin-U with a simple mission: to help audio students, regardless of their experience level, access high-quality plugins through educational discounts. Whether you are learning mixing, mastering, recording, sound design, or music production in any DAW, Plugin-U helps make professional grade tools more affordable.

Instead of searching across dozens of websites for educational discounts, users can come to one site, discover third-party plugins, and submit their eligibility documents for review and approval.

But Plugin-U is not only for students and faculty.

Even if you are not currently enrolled in a school, you can still find low prices, special offers, and plugin deals designed to help you build your plugin library without paying full retail whenever possible. Our goal is to make Plugin-U a place where both qualified students and everyday music creators can discover great audio software at prices that make sense.

Because each plugin company may have its own discount requirements, some educational offers may require proof of eligibility, such as a student ID, school email, enrollment document, or other approved verification. Other deals may be available to all customers without student verification.

For plugin companies, Plugin-U creates a direct way to reach serious audio students, faculty, producers, engineers, and creators early in their journey, helping brands build loyalty with the next generation of music makers.

Whether you are taking your first mixing class, building your home studio, producing music, mixing vocals, or expanding your professional toolkit, Plugin-U is here to help you find the plugins you need at prices you can feel good about.
